SVF- A new era of revolution for the treatment of Arthritis. A biological solution for Biological problem i.e SVF.

Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) is a heterogeneous mix of non-expandable cells from adipose tissue which contain adipose tissue-derived stromal ASCs, progenitor cells, Pericytes, T-regulatory cells, EPC(endothelial progenitor cells), anti-inflammatory M2 macrophages and many other cell types. Who is fit for SVF Therapy?

If you have been considering Sahaj therapy to treat your Joint pain it is important to know that:
  1. Age makes no difference
  2. The grade of osteoarthritis makes no difference (Mild through to bone on bone)
  3. Body weight makes no difference
We recommend you to do not undergo treatment if having :
  • Pregnancy
  • Blood disorders
  • Low BMI or insufficient fat reserves
  • Infection
  • Unstable illness
  • Cancer
  • Gout and pseudogout

SVF Advantage

What gives ʻSVF Technologyʼthe edge over earlier technologies?
ʻSVF Technologyʼ offers significant advantages over competing technologies which use enzymes and culture of cells including:

  • Minimally Invasive & Less surgery time
  • Being clean and easy (no animal products or enzymes are used)
  • Yielding a high number of SVF
  • Having the extracellular matrix present which aids in the regenerative process
  • Being efficient and inexpensive compared to other methods
  • No manipulation of cells once separated from fat.
  • No risk of animal disease transfer as no enzymes are used

Why Adipose

Adipose tissue (fat) presents a range of benefits over traditional extracted cell materials.

Adipose tissue offers benefits such as:

  • Adipose is an expandable tissue and offers lifelong availability
  • Cells are easily harvested by mini-lipoaspiration
  • Less painful and less intrusive technique than bone marrow harvesting
  • Adipose tissue is the largest microvascular tissue in the body and yields over 100 – 1000 times more pericytes than bone marrow.
  • Cells can be obtained in larger volumes at lower risks
  • Unique populations of cells including high concentrations of endothelial progenitor cells and T regulatory cells (Tregs) that express up to 100-fold higher levels of the immune suppressive cytokine IL-10 compared to circulating Tregs.
  • Autologous cell transplantation from adipose tissue derived from a patient’s own body means there is no risk of rejection or disease transfer.

Autologous adipose-derived SVF seems free of significant adverse events

There are minimal risks involved with SVF Technology because the treatment is autologous. Autologous means that the SVF cells are sourced from your own body. This greatly decreases risks of rejection and complications such as allergic reactions. There have been no reported serious adverse reactions with adipose SVF Technology.

The Results We Have Achieved With Adipose Tissue Cells Speak For Themselves

Over the past three years, our clinics have followed up hundreds of patients. The majority of these patients have had positive outcomes.

How it works

The system is simplified below:

  • A Mini Lipoaspiration Process: Extraction of adipose tissue
  • Separation of SVF from adipose tissue by our ultrasonic process (30-40 mins).
  • Grafting of SVF is done in a single surgical sitting

Our technology is highly efficient, cost-effective and provides a much higher cell count than traditional methods.

By examining the differences between the Sahaj Therapy technique and that of traditional enzyme and culturing, we can see that our method of cell extraction is far more advantageous:

Sahaj Therapy Technology
Process: Clean- no enzymes, No cell culture
Time frame: around 50 minutes
Cell count: 2-4 million/gram
Rate of dead cells: 5-15%
Time of use: Used immediately in a single sitting

How is the tissue harvested?

Begin by extracting the cells from your body We will extract the adipose (fat) tissue using a mini-lipoaspiration procedure while the area is treated with local anesthesia. During this process, we will extract approximately 300 ml of adipose tissue, which will then be treated with ultrasonic cavitation to get valuable SVF cells.

SVF Isolation

How cells are separated by Adipose tissue? The ultrasonic cavitation process involves no added enzymes or chemicals which mean it’s cleaner and safer. During ultrasonic cavitation the fat cells and connecting collagen will be fractured, leaving purified cells which include regenerative cells, pericytes, progenitor and other immune modulating cells. This mix of valuable regenerative cells is known as Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) cells, sometimes referred to as stromal cells. Before the cells are re-grafted into your body during the final part of the process we will perform a quality test using an instrument called a flow cytometer which will examine the cell viability and count. Our ultrasonic cavitation method offers a range of benefits over traditional techniques.

SVF Analysis

Viability Check / Cell Testing Before each patients treatment, the cells are counted in a flow cytometer and cell viability is measured with live/dead stains. Each time we make a change to any of our protocols for cell harvesting, separation we test our cells. This shows that they are alive and able to multiply. It shows that they are fully healthy and functional to grow into bone, cartilage or fat cells (differentiation).

SVF Administration

Intra-articular (into the joint) The SVF is grafted directly into the affected joint by your Orthopaedic Surgeon. This method is commonly used for Joint Pain. Intra-articular implantation is quite safe and does not require anesthesia.
